Alaska Airlines Cuts 200 Back-Office Jobs as Fuel Costs Push It to a Loss

Alaska Airlines is eliminating 200 back-office positions to rein in costs after higher fuel prices contributed to a $416 million loss over the past nine months. Flight crews, ramp agents and maintenance technicians are not affected.
