Victoria's Secret to open two full-assortment stores in Argentina

Victoria's Secret is adding two full-assortment stores in Argentina, in Córdoba and Rosario, as it widens its international retail footprint alongside licensee Grupo David. The openings extend the brand's flagship format beyond Buenos Aires.

The first of the two locations is set for Nuevocentro Shopping in Córdoba. A second store will open at Alto Rosario, where the brand will take a space of more than 4,843 square feet, with doors scheduled to open in November.

Both shops will carry the full-assortment format, spanning the company's lingerie collection along with accessories, pajamas and cosmetics.

The Argentine rollout is being handled with Grupo David, which holds the brand's license in the country. The same operator partners with Victoria's Secret in other Latin American markets, including Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Paraguay. The Argentine agreement sits alongside other regional arrangements, among them a partnership with Grupo Axo covering operations in Mexico and Chile.

The two openings push the full flagship store concept outside Buenos Aires. Victoria's Secret introduced that format in the country last year with a first store at the Alto Palermo shopping center in Buenos Aires.

Beyond Latin America, the U.S. lingerie group is working to build a larger presence in markets such as Germany, India and Argentina as it expands its store network outside its domestic base.
