Vacation Names Nelson Miranda CEO to Lead Next Growth Phase

Sun care brand Vacation has appointed Nelson Miranda, former CEO of Not Your Mother's parent company DeMert Brands, as its new chief executive officer to drive expansion.

Vacation, the sun care brand known for its retro-inspired branding, has named Nelson Miranda as CEO. Miranda brings extensive industry experience, having spent two decades at Procter & Gamble and held senior leadership roles at Revlon before joining DeMert Brands—parent of Not Your Mother's—as CEO in 2020. DeMert Brands was acquired by Henkel in 2026.

In his new role, Miranda will work alongside Vacation cofounders Dakota Green, Lach Hall, and Marty Bell. Green said the brand had reached the scale it originally aimed for and wanted to bring in an experienced leader to unlock the next level of growth, allowing the cofounders to focus on brand and product development.

Vacation launched five years ago and is currently stocked at major U.S. retailers including Walgreens, Target, Costco, Erewhon, Ulta Beauty, and Sephora's website. Miranda sees further distribution opportunities across the U.S. as the brand expands its footprint.

The new CEO is also focused on boosting brand visibility through creative collaborations, such as the recent partnership with Pepsi that produced the Pepsi Wild Cherry SPF 30 Tinted Lip Gel. This move aligns with Vacation's playful, nostalgia-driven marketing approach.
