Tivoli Avenida Liberdade in Lisbon Reveals Remodelled Rooms and Suites
The Lisbon luxury hotel, a fixture on Avenida da Liberdade since 1933, has unveiled redesigned rooms and suites shaped by Portuguese craftsmanship and a palette drawn from the city itself.
The redesign was carried out by Rodrigo Izquierdo Studio, which reworked the hotel's interiors around a language of Portuguese craftsmanship, noble materials and understated residential comfort.
The studio drew on the property's architectural identity, including the modernist influence brought in by Portuguese architect Porfírio Pardal Monteiro in 1955, positioning the new spaces as a dialogue between the building's history and contemporary luxury.
A bespoke "Lisbon Flair" palette anchors the interiors: soft blues referencing the city's traditional tiles, gentle greens echoing the tree-lined Avenida da Liberdade, and warm terracotta tones recalling Lisbon's rooftops.
Solid wood, natural stone, brass and iron appear alongside curated artworks and bespoke furnishings across the rooms, suites and corridors, an approach intended to feel elegant, intimate and tied to the Portuguese capital.
The suites sit at the centre of the project, conceived as a series of urban residences with personalised service and refined amenities. The renovation extends the same design direction to the hotel's remaining rooms.
