The Webster Covent Garden opens as brand's first London lifestyle hotel
The Webster Covent Garden has begun welcoming guests, launching The Webster as a new design-forward lifestyle hotel brand in London with 167 bedrooms overlooking Lincoln's Inn Fields.
The property occupies a setting facing Lincoln's Inn Fields and offers 167 bedrooms alongside intimate lounges, literary nooks and a programme of culture and connection. It is positioned as a place built for gathering, discovering and lingering rather than for stays alone.
Three food and beverage destinations are part of the hotel. Carmelina's is an Italian-inspired restaurant, Carmelina's Al Banco serves as an all-day café-bar with an outdoor terrace, and Carla's operates as a late-night cocktail bar.
The design comes from Red Deer, an award-winning London-based architecture and interior design studio. Its concept draws on magical realism, the literary genre associated with Colombian writer Gabriel García Márquez, taking a grounded real setting and layering in subtle moments of wonder.
Warmth, texture and storytelling are used throughout to turn overlooked corners into spaces meant to invite curiosity. Bespoke furniture sits with expressive materials and Italian-terrazzo-inspired flooring that adds a graphic rhythm across the hotel.
Artwork by British artists including Henry Ward and Emily Kirby is featured in the interiors. Quiet library nooks are also placed within the more social settings, giving guests space to read, work or linger.
