The Hari Hotels Join IHG’s Vignette Collection Ahead of Singapore Debut
The Hari London, Hong Kong and Singapore hotels are joining IHG's Vignette Collection later this year, preserving the brand's independent character while leveraging the hotel group's global network and loyalty program.
The Hari London and The Hari Hong Kong, together with the upcoming The Hari Singapore, are set to be repositioned under IHG Hotels & Resorts' Vignette Collection later this year. The move extends a strategic partnership between the Harilela Group and IHG that spans more than five decades, bringing the collaboration to six hotels across Asia and Europe.
Vignette Collection is IHG's portfolio of independent luxury and boutique hotels that keep their individual branding while gaining access to IHG's global platforms and loyalty program. Properties are selected based on design, guest experience and community engagement.
Dr Aron Harilela, chairman and CEO of the Harilela Group and founder of The Hari, said the brand reflects his family's decades of hospitality expertise, with design-led hotels acting as gateways to the art, culture and communities of their destinations. The properties are styled by British interior designer Tara Bernerd and feature rotating art collections that spotlight local talent.
Guests can explore London's Belgravia or Hong Kong's Wan Chai through neighbourhood audio tours, including a "Wan Chai By Night" experience. The Hari also runs an annual art prize, holds EarthCheck certifications and partners with charities to support local communities.
Rajit Sukumaran, IHG's senior vice president and managing director for East Asia & Pacific, noted that Vignette Collection has more than 80 open and pipeline hotels, ahead of its goal to reach 100 in its first decade. The Hari Singapore, opening next spring, will be Vignette Collection's first property in Singapore and strengthens its existing presence in London and Hong Kong.
