Target, Sephora Canada, CVS and Space NK Buyers Pick Favorite Beauty Brands at BITE New York

Retail beauty buyers scouting at BITE New York gravitated toward brands that pair efficacy with experience, with Vira, Paume, Skin Diligent and MNQA standing out.

Buyers from Target, Sephora Canada, CVS, Space NK and other retailers used BITE New York to identify emerging beauty labels, focusing on products that combine results with a strong consumer experience.

Vira drew notice for its distinctive positioning. The brand was founded by an Ayurvedic practitioner and a sex therapist, giving it a perspective that is both niche and relevant. Its clean formulas are rooted in Ayurvedic ingredients, and the label brings a modern energy to a category that buyers described as underserved.

Paume was praised for a clear brand DNA and consistent mission. Its hand care products are purposeful and address specific needs, while founder Amy Welsman's collaboration with a leading plastic surgeon reinforces a commitment to high-quality formulations. The brand also earned credit for staying close to its core and resisting fragrance trends that do not fit its original purpose.

Skin Diligent stood out for its scientific foundation and clinical rigor. The brand is rooted in epigenetic science and is pushing into advanced territory for the category. Founders Tule Park and Didier Magne bring knowledge and credibility, and the lineup is uncomplicated, centered on proven ingredients intended to support skin longevity and optimal health.

MNQA caught attention as another example of a founder building from deep category expertise. Developed by a trichologist, the brand reflects an understanding of hair needs and pairs it with a cool aesthetic and elevated packaging.
