Strange Nature Gin Taps SipWell for European Travel Retail Expansion
New Zealand gin brand Strange Nature has appointed UK-based SipWell as its European travel retail distribution partner, marking its entry into the region's duty-free channel. The brand currently sells across 33 airport and cruise locations worldwide.
Strange Nature Gin, the New Zealand distiller, is pushing deeper into global travel retail with a new distribution partnership covering Europe. The brand has chosen UK company SipWell to represent it in the region's duty-free market, building on existing relationships in North America, Oceania, Asia and the Middle East.
SipWell, a specialist in travel retail founded and led by industry veterans, will be responsible for growing Strange Nature's presence across European airports, cruise ships and other duty-free venues. The move adds Europe to a footprint that already spans more than 30 locations around the world.
Rhys Julian, co-owner and general manager of Strange Nature, said the company selected SipWell for its deep experience and established ties with leading duty-free retailers. He described Europe as a "significant strategic stepping stone" given the scale and influence of its travel retail channel.
Strange Nature also continues to work with key global travel retail operators including Heinemann, Lagardère Travel Retail and Avolta, particularly in Oceania. Julian said the brand is confident of rapid expansion through the SipWell partnership.
