Saudi Beauty Market Reaches $8.1B as Ulta Beauty Prepares Jeddah Debut
Saudi Arabia’s beauty market, valued at $8.1 billion, is attracting global retailers as young, digitally savvy consumers reshape demand. Ulta Beauty will open its first two Saudi stores this summer.
Ulta Beauty is entering Saudi Arabia through a partnership with Alshaya Group, with its first store slated for Red Sea Mall in Jeddah later this summer, followed by a second location at Riyadh Park. The move extends Ulta’s recent expansion into the UAE and Qatar.
The $8.1 billion beauty market is being propelled by a youthful consumer base that is highly active online and quick to adopt new trends. This dynamic is drawing international retailers while also creating space for homegrown brands to gain traction.
Kristin Wolf, Ulta’s chief strategy and growth officer, called the kingdom a compelling market with a passionate beauty community and strong growth momentum. She said the company would bring a differentiated retail model, including exclusive and first-to-market brands, along with services tailored to local customers.
The retail push comes even as the wider region faces instability, with the beauty sector in Saudi Arabia proving resilient and a priority for global players.
