Riga Airport opens tender for hotel and office plots at RIX Airport City
Riga Airport has launched a competitive tender covering two plots within its RIX Airport City estate, with a qualification stage that opened on 22 September. One site is earmarked for a hotel and the other for an office building.
The Latvian gateway has put a 1.2-hectare site up for the construction and operation of a hotel and related infrastructure, alongside a separate 0.9-hectare plot reserved for an office building and associated facilities.
The two plots make up the first phase of RIX Airport City, a wider commercial estate planned for completion by 2030.
Through the competitive process, the airport says it wants to identify the development solution that best matches its commercial requirements while adding new facilities for passengers and businesses.
The tender is part of Riga Airport's broader push to diversify its revenue streams and to build RIX Airport City into a commercial destination operating alongside its core aviation business.
Interested developers enter through a qualification stage, which opened on 22 September.
