Qatar Duty Free Donates Top Bid from Toblerone Crystal Bar Auction to Education Above All
Qatar Duty Free has handed over proceeds from its Toblerone Crystal Bar auction at Hamad International Airport to the Education Above All Foundation, with the winning bid the highest among nine participating airports.
The handover in Doha marked the conclusion of Mondelez World Travel Retail's Toblerone "The Ultimate Gift" initiative. One of nine individually numbered and certified Toblerone Crystal Bars, crafted by Swarovski and modelled on the original Milk bar, was auctioned at a dedicated pop-up in the South Node of Hamad International Airport.
Qatar Duty Free selected Education Above All as the beneficiary of its Doha auction. The winning bid was the highest recorded across all nine participating airport auctions, and the full amount raised will support the foundation's Assalam Schools network in Qatar.
The global auction ran from 1 to 31 July, with one Crystal Bar displayed at each participating airport. The Doha result builds on more than a decade of backing for Education Above All by the Qatar Airways Group.
The donation reinforces the group's long-standing commitment to educational initiatives in Qatar and beyond.
