Park Hyatt to Open in Portugal’s Comporta in 2029

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Portuguese developer Coporgest have signed agreements to bring the Park Hyatt brand to Comporta, Portugal, with a hotel and residences expected to open in 2029.

The project marks the first Park Hyatt in Portugal. Comporta is a coastal destination in the Alentejo region, known for its unspoiled shoreline, protected natural surroundings and relaxed beach lifestyle. It sits less than an hour from Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport, making it accessible for international travelers while retaining a distinct local character.

Plans for Park Hyatt Comporta call for 58 guestrooms and suites, six two-bedroom private villas, and 22 fully serviced residences. Guests will have access to a range of amenities, including swimming pools, a wellness space, a fitness center, a padel court, a kids’ club and several restaurants.

The hotel is set to neighbor the Troia Golf Course, with four additional golf courses within a 20-minute drive. The project is part of Hyatt’s broader strategy to expand its luxury brand presence in Europe.

Park Hyatt Comporta is designed to blend the brand’s signature personalized hospitality with the destination’s laid-back approach to luxury. The development is expected to open in 2029.
