Maldives Private Island Tied to Baccarat Residences Hits Market at $72 Million With USDC Payment Option

A private island at the southern edge of the Baccarat Maldives main island is being offered with four furnished four-bedroom villas priced at $72 million in total, with cryptocurrency holders able to pay in the USDC stablecoin.

The property comprises a standalone private island positioned at the southern tip of the Baccarat Maldives main island, complete with its own beach and reef.

It carries four four-bedroom villas, all delivered fully furnished. Each residence includes a private 65-foot swimming pool, a gym, twin yoga pavilions and wraparound terraces facing the water. HKS handled the architecture, while 1508 London designed the interiors.

The four villas are offered collectively at $72 million, or $18 million per residence, with all furnishings included in the price.

The island is being brought to market through Corn, a private members club serving cryptocurrency owners, which holds exclusive rights to offer the property for a limited period. Buyers can settle the purchase in stablecoins, specifically USDC, allowing those already holding the digital dollar-pegged asset to transact without first converting into conventional currency. Corn coordinates the purchase process and handles the transaction.

Corn also holds an allocation of four beachfront residences within the wider development, including three-bedroom homes.

Chris Spadafora, founder of Corn, said stablecoins have been used to move money around the world for years, and that what is shifting is where such payments are accepted.
