Louis Vuitton Opens New Boutique at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront
Louis Vuitton has opened a new store at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, blending its heritage with local design elements.
Located at the V&A Waterfront, the new boutique opens with a carved wooden facade that echoes Louis Vuitton’s Epi leather texture, a signature of the house. Inside, the space is divided into dedicated women’s and men’s areas.
The women’s space features handcrafted Japanese wallpaper with a V-shaped motif, alongside macramé wall panels inspired by the house’s Monogram flowers. It presents ready-to-wear, handbags, small leather goods and footwear, arranged around a vibrant yellow rug.
The men’s area offers a more intimate setting with French oak finishes and bespoke leather furnishings, displaying the latest ready-to-wear collections, shoes and accessories.
A standout feature is the Winter Garden, a naturally lit lounge filled with greenery that provides a quiet escape from the busy waterfront. The boutique also incorporates archival trunks, pieces from the Objets Nomades collection, furniture by South African brand Weylandts, and artworks by Namibian artist Nicky Marais.
