Ian Macleod Distillers Adds Glengoyne and Tamdhu Travel Retail Exclusives
Ian Macleod Distillers is broadening its global travel retail range with two channel-exclusive aged malts from Glengoyne and Tamdhu, plus new packaging for Smokehead Extra Rare.
The independent, family-owned Scotch distiller will launch Glengoyne Spirit of Time 18 Year Old Oak Reserve Edition and Tamdhu American Oak Reserva 14 Year Old into the travel retail channel, extending its travel-retail-exclusive malt line-up.
Glengoyne 18 Year Old Oak Reserve Edition is bottled at 41.6% ABV in a 70cl format and carries a recommended retail price of £99 (US$132). Matured predominantly in American oak sherry butts, it marks the return of an 18 Year Old Glengoyne to travel retail after more than a decade.
The new expression sits within the Glengoyne Spirit of Time range alongside the 12 Year Old First Fill Edition, the 15 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Cask Edition and the 27 Year Old Limited Edition.
Ian Macleod Distillers is also refreshing the packaging for Smokehead Extra Rare as part of the wider portfolio update.
The collection will be shown at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes at Bay Village 3, where the company will present a broader showcase spanning its Scotch whisky and gin brands.
