Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin Could Be Sold for €280 Million
The Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin may fetch at least €280 million as its owner, a fund managed by the Jagdfeld Group, moves toward a possible sale. Shareholders are voting on the plan.
The Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin, one of Germany's most storied luxury hotels, may change hands for a minimum of €280 million. The property is part of a fund managed by the Jagdfeld Group, which has confirmed a report in the German trade publication Immobilien-Zeitung.
According to the report, the fund and its sole asset, the Adlon, are owned by roughly 4,000 shareholders, mostly private investors who now wish to liquidate their stakes. A liquidation plan has been put to them with a minimum sale price of €280 million.
Voting is already underway and requires a 75 percent majority of votes cast. If approved, a structured bidding process would be conducted through an international broker.
The Jagdfeld Group also noted that a lease agreement with hotel operator Kempinski runs until the end of 2032, an arrangement that could be a key consideration for prospective buyers.
