Hong Kong Luxury Home Sale Tops US$19m as Trophy Demand Persists
A detached house at One Stanley in southern Hong Kong sold for HK$151.08 million, underscoring resilient demand for trophy homes despite a broader property slowdown.
Land Registry records show that Yi Bing signed an agreement on July 27 to buy House 11 at One Stanley on Wong Ma Kok Road. The four-bedroom, 3,336 sq ft detached house changed hands for HK$151.08 million, or HK$45,288 per square foot.
The buyer shares a name with Yi Bing, founding chairwoman of GlobeVisa Group, an immigration consultancy. Companies Registry documents list a Yi Bing as a director of GlobeVisa Group (Hong Kong) and the Wenya Charity Foundation. GlobeVisa declined to comment on the transaction, citing client privacy.
The purchase adds to a series of high-value deals at the upper end of Hong Kong's residential market. Overall activity has softened amid uncertainty over mainland taxation of offshore investments and slowing market momentum, yet several large transactions have underscored the depth of demand at the top end.
Trophy homes in prime locations continue to attract buyers despite the broader slowdown, reflecting sustained interest in exclusive properties among wealthy investors.
