Harry Styles' MSG Residency Expected to Give NYC Hotels a Lift

The 30-show Madison Square Garden run could provide a sustained boost to New York City hotel and short-term rental operators this fall.

Harry Styles kicks off the New York leg of his "Together, Together" tour at Madison Square Garden on August 26, with 30 shows over two months. The residency follows earlier appearances in Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, and Mexico City.

While industry observers don't expect it to replicate the global Eras Tour phenomenon, the extended schedule is seen as a positive for local hospitality. New York has already enjoyed a strong summer, marked by the World Cup, the Knicks' championship run, and Taylor Swift's wedding.

Didio Pequeno, CoStar's director of hospitality market analytics, noted that occupancy, average daily rate, and revenue per available room are already high across the city. He said the residency could add to that momentum.

The multi-week nature of a residency means demand is spread over a longer period, potentially giving hotel and short-term rental operators a more sustainable revenue stream than a single concert weekend.
