Expedia to Join Meta's Muse AI Agent, Executive Says
Expedia will make its travel offerings available on Meta's Muse, the AI agent the Wall Street Journal labelled an instant hit within two weeks of its debut, according to remarks by Gorin at an industry conference.
The move places Expedia inside one of the fastest-scaling new distribution channels in consumer technology, as travel brands weigh how much of their direct business to hand to third-party AI interfaces.
Gorin described the choice facing travel companies with their own booking channels: integrate with a platform that is quickly gaining users and accept some loss of control over the customer relationship, or stay outside it and accept the risk of being overlooked.
Muse, Meta's AI agent, drew the "instant hit" description from the Wall Street Journal roughly two weeks after it launched. Expedia's participation means travelers will be able to reach the company's inventory through that agent.
The comments were made during a conference session in the travel industry and circulated in late September 2026.
Expedia has not disclosed terms, timing or which specific products will be surfaced through the agent.
