Dermalogica Global CEO Aurelian Lis to Exit at End of December

Aurelian Lis is stepping down as global chief executive officer of Dermalogica after a decade at the professional skincare brand, with North America general manager Tim Bunch set to lead on an interim basis.

Tim Bunch, currently general manager for North America at Dermalogica, will run the business on an interim basis while the company searches for a permanent successor, according to Mary Carmen “MC” Gasco-Buisson, chief executive of Unilever Prestige.

Lis took the helm at Dermalogica in 2015, shortly after Unilever acquired the brand. Sales were reported at $240 million in 2014, and that figure is thought to have doubled during his tenure, with the brand approaching $1 billion at retail according to sources. Unilever executives declined to comment on the numbers.

Gasco-Buisson said Lis had decided to step down after 10 years leading the business and will leave at the end of December 2026. She credited his leadership with strengthening Dermalogica's position as a global name in professional skin care, adding that the brand is well positioned for its next chapter.

Dermalogica sits within the Unilever Prestige portfolio as one of four “power” brands, alongside K18 Biomimetic Hair Science, Paula's Choice and Hourglass. The division is led by Gasco-Buisson.
