Automattic’s AI-powered contact manager Mesh arrives on Android
Automattic’s personal CRM and contacts app Mesh is now available on Android, letting users track relationships and schedule reminders across devices.
Mesh, the relationship manager and personal CRM acquired by Automattic last year, has expanded beyond its original platform with a dedicated Android app. The software is designed to help users privately map and manage their personal and professional networks, with tools to add notes to contact entries and set reminders to stay in touch.
On Android, Automattic customized the app to take advantage of platform-specific features. It supports split-screen and pop-up views, allowing users to keep Mesh open while working in messaging or email apps. The app also includes keyboard shortcuts for foldables and tablets, in-app search, and home screen widgets that adopt Material You colors to match the device wallpaper.
Real-time sync across devices is built in, ensuring contact changes and reminders are up to date whether a user is on a phone, tablet, or the web. The Android version aligns with Automattic’s broader push to integrate Mesh with Beeper, its all-in-one messaging app that connects platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, Signal, Messenger, X, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, and Google Messages.
Mesh and Beeper already interoperate to a degree: Mesh users can draft a text message within Beeper or click deep links to view a Mesh user’s profile. Automattic has indicated it plans to introduce additional AI features in the future, aiming to make both products more useful for managing personal relationships.
